She began teaching at Springlands School, followed by 3 years teaching and travelling in London, followed by a summer camp in Maine, USA. With nearly 35 years experience, Leigh is a dedicated believer in rural education. Born in Christchurch, she taught in urban primary and intermediate schools, before moving to become the art teacher at a large Area school in North Canterbury.

Julian Mason - Teacher Room 3 Yr 4/5 Studied at University of Canterbury. A true one eyed Cantabrian he has lived in the MArlborough region for the past 3 years. Is currently in his seond year at Seddon School.

Lyn Knappstein – Teacher - Room 4 Year 3/4

Many of these years were spent at country schools close to Timaru. A move to Napier meant Lyn gained experience in teaching only New Entrants. After a break in service to bring up her family, Lyn returned to teaching in West Auckland and taught children in the first four years of school. Lyn moved to Marlborough in 2000 when she began working at Seddon, where she has worked at various levels through the school, and is currently teaching the Year 4 class.

Brenda grew up in the Manawatu before she moved to Marlborough to persue her career in Teaching in 1998. She has worked in several schools in Marlborough, full-time and part-time as she brought up her family. Brenda joined Seddon School in 2011 as our Reading Recovery Teacher but is now full time teaching our New Entrants and Year 1 students. |

Tina Griggs – Teacher AideTina trained in preschool practice in the late 80's and early 90's. Upon completion of her training, she ran a preschool in the UK. She also worked in a school for children with challenging behaviour. At Seddon, she works with various small groups of children assisting their learning, and runs the preschool programme. Brian is semi-retired with so many years experience. He has over 15 years as a property manager in a large private girls school in Auckland. Brian does an amazing job keep our grounds tidy and our buildings in fantastic repair.
